Barry D. Rooth has been a partner with the Merrillville, Indiana law firm of Theodoros & Rooth, P.C. since its inception in 1988. He has over 20 years of experience in litigating plaintiffs' personal injury and medical malpractice cases in state courts in Indiana and Illinois and in federal courts in the Northern Districts of Indiana and Illinois. He has also argued cases in front of the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court and the Federal Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is currently representing over 280 plaintiffs in claims against Dr. Mark Weinberger, an ear nose and throat doctor practicing in Merrillville, Indiana, who fled the jurisdiction to avoid these lawsuits.

Barry received his Bachelors Degree from Indiana University in 1979 and his J.D. from the Valparaiso School of Law in 1982. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Indiana and Illinois Bar State Associations. Barry is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Illinois.

Barry is actively involved in supporting and participating in several community and charitable causes. He is past-president of Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Munster, and has been a Vice-President of the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana. Also, Barry has completed several triathlons and has participated in 100-mile, single-day bicycling events in Spiceland, Indiana to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.  Barry completed the Chicago Marathon on October 12, along with 31,000 other finishers.

Barry has been named a "Super Lawyer" in the State of Indiana from 2006-20089 a recognition bestowed upon only 5% of the lawyers practicing in Indiana.  He has also been recognized as among the Best Lawyers in America

Barry also holds the position of Chief of Corporate Affairs for Quantum Immunologics, Inc., a biomedical company that is in the process of developing an immunologic treatment for breast cancer that may have positive effects on other types of cancer as well. FDA Phase I/II clinical trials are currently underway in Mobile Alabama.
